Word Adventure ("we", "our", or "the app") is a children's educational spelling and reading app. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Word Adventure does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

• No account or registration required — the app works without signing in.
• No personal data collected — we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.
• No location data — the app does not access or use your device's location.
• No analytics or tracking — we do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.
• No data sent to our servers — all app progress and settings are stored locally on your device only.

2. Microphone & Audio

Word Adventure does not use the microphone or any audio recording features. The app does not request microphone permission and does not process, record, store, or transmit any audio data.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device only, using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device:

• Star count (progress score)
• Words marked as practised or learned
• Words seen and progress tracking
• App data version (used to manage updates)

Deleting your data: All locally stored data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Word Adventure → Clear Data on Android; or delete and reinstall on iOS).

4. Image Content Delivery

Word Adventure displays educational word images that are loaded from a content delivery network (CDN) hosted on jsDelivr (via GitHub). When images are fetched, your device's IP address may be logged by jsDelivr as part of standard CDN operation. We do not control or access these logs. jsDelivr's privacy policy can be found at jsdelivr.com/privacy-policy. Images are cached on your device after first download and do not require repeated network requests.

5. Children's Privacy

Word Adventure is designed for children aged 3–12. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with applicable laws including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations.

• We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
• No in-app advertising is shown to any users.
• No social features, chat, or user-generated content sharing is available.
• Parents and guardians can contact us at any time to request information or deletion of any data associated with their child's device.

6. Third-Party Services

Word Adventure does not integrate any third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. The only external services used are:

• Apple App Store — for app distribution and in-app purchases on iOS. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy
• Google Play — for app distribution and in-app purchases on Android. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• jsDelivr CDN — for delivery of educational word images. See Section 4 above.
• Device text-to-speech — the operating system's built-in TTS engine is used to read words and letters aloud. No audio data is recorded or transmitted.

7. In-App Purchases

The app may offer optional in-app purchases to unlock additional word packs. All purchases are handled securely and exclusively by:

• Apple In-App Purchase (iOS devices)
• Google Play Billing (Android devices)

We do not collect, process, or store any payment or financial information. All billing is managed entirely by Apple or Google per their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We do not retain any user data on our servers because we do not collect any. All data (progress, stars, word history) exists solely on your device and is automatically removed when the app is uninstalled. To reset progress without uninstalling, clear the app's local data via your device settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable laws. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
